Careers and Employability Service Networking Event

On Tuesday 18th November 10 alumni from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities returned to Maynooth University to participate in a Career Speed Networking event.

The event was organised by the Careers and Employability Service in collaboration with the Development and Alumni Office, and supported by the THRIVE Initiative 'Student Success Project Fund'.

The following 10 alumni returned to their alma mater to provide career advice and inspiration to our current students.

  • Rút Ní Theimhneáin - Writer and Social Media Co-ordinator for TG4. Bachelor of Arts (Nua-Ghaeilge).
  • Mike Gilmartin - Communications Manager with An Garda Siochana. Masters in Radio and Television Production.
  • Rachel Raftar - Communications Manager with the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA). Masters in Critical and Creative Media.
  • Mark O’Toole – Communications Expert. Bachelor of Arts (History, English).
  • Dean Fagan - Musician/Composer & Royalties Manager. Bachelor of Music.
  • Tara Gilleece - Public Relations and Marketing Professional. Bachelor of Arts (Sociology, English).
  • Edie May Hand - Author. Masters in Creative Writing.
  • Jennifer Nyhan - Internal Communications Lead with Grant Thornton Ireland. Bachelor of Arts (Sociology, English).
  • Sharon Geoghegan - Journalist. Bachelor of Arts (Media Studies, History, Philosophy, Politics).
  • Aislinn NÍ Chuinneagain - Unit Production Manager with Netflix. Bachelor of Arts (English, Greek and Roman Civilisation).
