Career Mentoring Programme
Alumni from across a diverse range of sectors (mentors) with students (mentees) offer informed career insights and guidance.
Managed by the Careers and Employability Service, in collaboration with Development and Alumni Relations and the Access Office, the programme aims to cultivate strong, impactful connections within the alumni community, enhancing engagement and supporting lifelong learning. It contributes to the professional success of both students and alumni, aligning with Maynooth University’s commitment to producing creative, inquisitive, and critically engaged graduates prepared for professional success, as well as fostering a vibrant, connected alumni network.
Mentoring provides a superb opportunity for alumni to give back by offering honest advice and support around the next stages in a student’s career.
The programme runs annually, with mentors and mentees meeting at least four times over its duration. You can find the full programme timeline below:
As students self-select their mentors, we cannot guarantee a match for every mentor. However, those who are selected will be invited to Mentor Training (online) on 27th November.
If you are interested in participating as a mentor, please ensure your email preferences are up to date here. You’ll be added to our Career Mentor Programme mailing list and will be the first to hear when applications open each year.
